We woke up early Saturday morning and went to Yosemite National Park. We left the flat valley and entered the foot hills. The closer we got to Yosemite, the more twists and turns we faced. Despite the winding roads, I slept most of the way. Mom and Dad told me that it was a gorgeous drive on another beautiful day in California.
The main focus of our trip was to see as many waterfalls that we possibly could during our short trip. The first waterfall to see was Bridalveil Falls.

These are pictures of us enjoying our short hike to see Bridalveil Falls.

Here's Mom embarrassing me, treating me as if I am a baby.

Now that Mom put me up here on this log, how am I supposed to get down?

I can see how this waterfall gets its name because of the wind carrying the water, looking as if it were a bride's veil. It's Indian name is
Pohono, meaning "puffing wind".

This was our first glimpse at Yosemite Falls, the highest measured waterfall in North America.

I love the picture above because it not only gives a perspective of the height of Yosemite Falls but also how tall the trees are!

Here's Mom standing in front of Lower Yosemite Falls.

Dad wanted to get closer to the falls, so he decided to climb this rocks to see the Lower Yosemite Falls up close and personal.

Dad said that there were people swimming in the pool of the waterfall. When he returned, he looked as though he had been swimming but he was soaked with sweat instead.

This is just one of the many pictures taken on the valley floor of Yosemite. It was so calm and peaceful, just taking in the beauty.

However, there were these California Grey Squirrels who taunted me throughout the entire day. They saw that I was on a leash and knew that they could get away with it since I was unable to chase them.

Our last stop of the day was Glacier Point, where we could see most of the key landmarks of the national park.

Pictured above is Nevada (the upper waterfall) and Vernal Falls.
Below is Half Dome - possibly Yosemite's most familiar site.

A lady standing next to Dad at Glacier Point said that her boyfriend was in the process of climbing Half Dome. He started in the valley on Wednesday and was planning to reach the summit on Sunday. She was tracking his progress by using binoculars. I could not imagine hanging from that granite dome for a few days! Half Dome rises more than 4,700 feet from Yosemite's valley floor.

Do not be alarmed.
This boulder is lot more secure than that piece of rope that the lady's boyfriend is hanging from.

Above is a picture of the Royal Arches.
And last but not least, a picture of Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls.
Overall, we all had a good time. I would love to come back in the spring when the falls are at their peak.
how beautiful!!! so glad you guys got to go and see so much!
