Thanksgiving Weekend Get-A-Way - Day 2

The next morning, we woke up to this on our windshield! Seeing everything covered in white was beautiful but not much fun to walk in.

If it were up to me, I would have stayed put in my nice warm cozy bed.
But, this was a special day because it's Dad's 32nd birthday!
It was time to rise and shine and celebrate.

Happy birthday Dad!

We all know how Mom likes to "document" everything by taking pictures of us in the snow.
As if you can't tell by my facial expression, I was not happy SITTING in that COLD snow.

We continued on our little excursion of driving around Lake Tahoe and found ourselves crossing over into Nevada for a little while. Once we crossed the Nevada state line, casinos appeared.

We welcomed the clear blue sunny skies

and enjoyed looking at this clear blue water.

For a brief moment, this turquoise water lead you to believe that you were on a warm tropical island. Then the cold wind would blow up the snow and bring you back to reality. At least the sun was shining, which was most appreciated especially after the snowfall the day before.

Here's Mom at Memorial Point, enjoying walking on the trails and the magnificent views.

Then, we went to Sand Harbor, a part of the Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park.
It was ironic seeing snow in the footprints in the sand.

The scenery was breathtaking!

If you do not want to see any more rocks in front of water with some mountains and trees in the background, then you should just stop reading this post.

I've said it before and I will say it again.
How can anyone see something so beautiful and unique and say there is no God?

We all had a great time enjoying God's nature.

Then, it got even colder as the wind kept blowing up the snow.
I was ready to go home and get warm.

Even the ducks were contemplating getting in this frigid water.

Unfortunately, this was all of the ski trails Mom and Dad got to see.
It was time to go home. I hope that Dad had a great birthday in Lake Tahoe but even the best of celebrations have to end.
