Dad and I stayed home today meeting with the cable guy and maintanance man while Mom went to her new job. She spent the morning working in a small hospital that consists of about 120 beds. Then, she went to an even smaller nursing home about 40 miles up the interstate. Mom said the staff was nice and helpful and she enjoyed meeting her patients. But, the best part was the commute. Notice the snow-capped mountains in the background.
After Mom got home, we all went to a local dog park. Having never been to a dog park, I did not know what to expect. I was just glad to get to ride in the back seat rather than my portable apartment surrounded by luggage.
After all of the other dogs greeted me, I ran as fast as I could. Then, the dogs began chasing me. Don't worry. They could not keep up.
I played with Dad by jumping up around him.
Afterwards, I was pretty tired from all of that physical activity. (You know that I am usually laying down, asleep in a chair or on the bed.) While resting, I enjoyed watching the other dogs play.
I asked Mom if that chocolate lab was Parker Godiva but she sadly informed me that it was not. Maybe next time!
Until then, I will just conserve my energy.
Sony girl, you look right at home! Glad you had a fun time running with the local pups. And there are so many beautiful scenes in your mom's commute! I'm so happy she'll get to have that view in her commute.
ReplyDeleteGlad your first day went well, Laura! :)
Yay, Sony. It looks like you are going to love Ca, and become quite the Calif dog! Lots more space to run around in! I'm so glad you had a good first day of work, Laura! Sorry we keep missing eachother!
